Stock Assistant,
WeTrade
(Summer 2023)
I was originally hired by WeTrade, a company that distributes handmade goods from South America, to reorganize their warehouse that had an overflow of stock that was not correctly organised. Due to my previous stock experience, I completed this task quickly and efficiently. My main roles then became receiving deliveries and packaging products to be sent out to customers or clients.
Charity Fund-Raiser,
Sustrans
(Summer 2022)
While fund-raising for Sustrans, the charity that serves as the custodians of the national cycle network, my main role was to stop and talk to pedestrians and cyclists about the work that Sustrans do, and to ask them for donations. In this role I greatly honed my communication skills and my ability to think on my feet.
Delicatessen Counter,
Marks & Spencer, Bath
(November 2018 – August 2019)
At Marks & Spencer, I was hired to work at the Delicatessen Counter, making and selling food. This role included a lot of time management skills as food was always being cooked and prepared while customers were being served. As I was part of a small team within the store, I was often left by myself, responsible for cooking and food hygiene. I also took on a role of training new staff and planning the jobs for the day.
Men’s Department Team Leader/ Stock Assistant, Clarks, Bath
(August 2015 - January 2018)
I was originally recruited to the Clarks Bath Store to be part of the stock team. My roles included receiving large deliveries and organising them into our stock, bringing products to the shop floor to be sold and many other smaller daily jobs. I was then promoted to the Team Leader of the Men’s Department where, on top of the role of a Sales Assistant, I was also in charge of arranging displays, managing a team, and assisting other departments wherever possible.
The key skills I developed include managing and encouraging the different personalities in the team, dealing with unexpected circumstances or complaints calmly, and also improving my sales techniques and customer rapport.
Sales Assistant,
Clarks, Trowbridge
(August 2014 - August 2015)
My main role in the Trowbridge store was selling to customers but as it was a small store with few staff members, I also handled deliveries and organised stock. I learned to be pro-active when it was not too busy, in order to achieve all the daily tasks. I then met the Manager of the Bath Store and was offered the more specific role there, as stock management and logistics are some of my best skills.
Education
Games Technology BSc (2:1),
University of the West of England (UWE)
(2021 - 2024)
On the UWE Games Technology course I learned many skills relating to both game design and game implementation. I learned to make games in multiple game engines such as Unity and Unreal 5, and also learned to program using concepts such as OOP in C++, C# and Python.

I also developed my understanding of game design through both taught content, and making games in groups or alone. I now have a deep understanding of level design, building games around a core idea or mechanic, and making games for specific audiences and player types.

Additionally, the course allowed me to have experience working on projects in large groups, using Github for both source control and planning, and developing a project all the way from the creation of the high concept to polishing a final project.
Access to Higher Education Diploma, Science,
Bath College
(2019 - 2020)
In 2019 I re-entered education through the Access to HE course. I studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and achieved all but one distinctions in my modules until the course was cut short due to the pandemic. However, the Access to HE course was an amazing reintroduction to education, and crash course in Science.
GCSEs,
St Laurence Secondary School
(May 2013)
I achieved 9 GCSE including English, Maths and Science.
